Ocean waves are monitored continuously at the FA oil production platform, situated at 34°58'12.00"S, 22°10'12.00"E in 113 m water, about 72.2 km offshore of Mossel Bay in South Africa. Detailed information is directly available in real-time, for operational purposes.

The data is gathered by means of a WaMoS II Wave Radar System. The analysed data will be downloaded in near real-time to the Stellenbosch office of  the CSIR, where it will be stored in a database.
